Iโ€™ve tested dozens of portable power stations, and I want to share my top 7 recommendations for the very best you can buy right now. But instead of just going 1-7, everyone has different needs and different budgets, so I chose the best portable power station for each size from as small as 500W all the way up to 7,200 Watts. So no matter why you want one, from camping trips, boat parties, and tailgating, to whole home backups, I am going to share the very best one for your needs. There are two that I have a big star next to and I think most people will buy one of these two. I will mention them when we get there. These are my picks for the top 7 portable power stations and solar battery generators.

Hey, I know you said from the top you were selecting the best of each power range, but I’d love to know why you chose the Jackery Explorer 500 over say the EcoFlow RIVER 2 MAX, or the Anker 535, which both looks clearner and more useable on the surface?

I’m trying to find out if Jackery has anything comparable to the Anker f3800. Can you help?

  25. @RantAboutTime on November 13, 2024 at 12:46 pm

Can I ask a quick question here? Is it possible to use of these for outdoor camping and cook food using electric stoves (with it connected to those portable solar battery storage unit)?

  28. @theeard on November 13, 2024 at 12:53 pm

I would like ratings of how long each of these batteries holds a charge under zero load conditions.
As back up batteries, if they discharge in a week (as my ecoflow river 2 does) they aren’t particularly useful when needed.
If it is installed continuously charging and being used as a power source, what is the power consumption and life of the unit?
    thanks

  29. @kenjohnson3412 on November 13, 2024 at 12:54 pm

I would like a video on only the portable power stations that have the 30 amp outlet.

  30. @yaselsax8943 on November 13, 2024 at 12:55 pm

Hi thanks so much for your videos, can you recommend me what of this options I need to power my Bose L1 Pro 32 with SUB 2, my Bose t8s mixer and my wireless microphone on the beach?

  31. @keepingtherubberdown5715 on November 13, 2024 at 12:58 pm

I like the eco flow but dislike that all the plugs are not on one side. I like the Anker C1000 which is very similar to that and I think it is lighter

  32. @preppychrisbou on November 13, 2024 at 1:00 pm

Anker for the price is the besf one. The โ€œno1โ€ is too expensive, if you are going to spend all that money on a solar battery then you should really go really big with a huge power bank or just install a proper solar sistem and thatโ€™s it.

  33. @michaelsaunby6411 on November 13, 2024 at 1:02 pm

I have a question and I was wondering if you can help narrow it down but Iโ€™m looking for something that can power a electric grill an iPad and iPhone a Bluetooth speaker and maybe a heater or a light source long term camping out of a tent off grid Minnesota Whynter is coming will be charging it with a solar, power, solar panel, etc. preferred to have multiple hook ups see charger USP normal plug-ins roughly 120 V I think is where Iโ€™m looking at power or electric water heater for heat and water any recommendations or ideas?

  34. @beenasumbria5755 on November 13, 2024 at 1:04 pm

    Very nice

  35. @alanday5255 on November 13, 2024 at 1:04 pm

Neat thing, you can get a USB-C to cigarette lighter adapter. You may ask why? Well my breathing machine has a DC cord but its a cigarette lighter adapter. It also is more efficient when using DC to DC direct. Weird.

Im mostly looking for a power station that could hold 2 sleep apnea machines through the night, where I live the lights tend to go out a lot, so im looking for something to help, would one of these be a good investment???

  38. @PatrickGuerrisi on November 13, 2024 at 1:05 pm

What minimum watts would I need to run a fridge for a couple of days ? Providing I can charge the power station with solar

I have gone through a few brands, my needs are 5.1mm barrel jacks 12vdc 10a, which have seem to vanish from all power units, only one still in existence is bluetti and the unit is too small, its difficult so switch all my connectors to support car plugs when all my gear is shipped with barrel jack cables ๐Ÿ™‚ so the hunt continues.

  44. @Cozyasual on November 13, 2024 at 1:09 pm

What do you recommend for pc? Work from home setup

  45. @sohamtripathi on November 13, 2024 at 1:09 pm

    I want to buy ๐Ÿ˜Š

  46. @galaxytraveler5779 on November 13, 2024 at 1:09 pm

I like Bluetti. I already have the AC180, and now thinking of getting the AC50B "700W" unit. One thing I do like, which, to my knowledge, sets them apart from the competition, is that they use lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, which gives you a much longer life span at 3,000+ charges. ‘+’ meaning after that, they apparently continue to work, just losing about 20% of the charge capacity and subsequently increasing that percentage over time.

  47. @70s80sVintage on November 13, 2024 at 1:12 pm

My Jackery’s just got me through Helene flawlessly. And I just bought three more.

  48. @AJHart-eg1ys on November 13, 2024 at 1:12 pm

The Bluetti also weighs about 8# heavier than the Jackery, so keep that in mind. But, like in car camping, who cares how heavy the tent is?

  49. @thaomai20 on November 13, 2024 at 1:12 pm

What do recommend for running a 12 BTU Mini-Split AC and a frig which uses 115 volts and 3 amps & at least one or two light bulbs?
