    It’s monthly cost not yearly.

Yeah, even as a youngin, I was have a feeling it could be a cheat… but as solar, wind and battery tech are becoming more advanced and close to make homes self-sufficent, I don’t think we need to worry much about it in the future but still we must conserve our energy.

That is no surprise it is the government they want to rip you off always ask questions on how much wattage it uses questions can save you money from buying something that will skyrocket a bill

  6. @mariannelottes7922 on November 13, 2024 at 12:17 pm

and what do you do with your old fridge ? it will not make sense . not even saving energy .

  7. @newharmony85 on November 13, 2024 at 12:19 pm

My electric bill has consistently been 10 dollars lower since switching to energy-efficient washer and dryers. However, my prior machines were 20 year old energy hogs.

  8. @JAYichase on November 13, 2024 at 12:19 pm

we are complete idiots… our power suppliers have raised and manipulated tier rates for ever. that is the true issue.

  9. @ericeandco on November 13, 2024 at 12:22 pm

Absolutely NOT. I’ve bought enough appliances now to know this is a line of crap. Aside from the fact they don’t work anywhere near as well as the appliances we had, they don’t save you money on your utilities in the long run. The utility companies just give you less and charged you more per unit. They also need more expensive maintenance and have a much shorter life span.

  10. @nunurbuisness5877 on November 13, 2024 at 12:25 pm

i knew this was a scam the real reason is that want you to buy new things when old appliances are just fine and you can get them fixed don’t waste your money

Vanessa could have started saving money buy having two children instead of four. People always seem to have money when they want something for their selves. Four children?

Holy shit! Nothing says shady news story like a Dom leather jacket…. How did that get past a stylist?

  19. @gr8fzy1 on November 13, 2024 at 12:40 pm

It’s just a government ploy to get people to throw their old crap out and spend money on new appliances. that way they can collect taxes on it. like the cash for clunkers programs.

  20. @scrfirefighter on November 13, 2024 at 12:40 pm

I’m so shocked that the govt would BS us!!!
Next they’ll tell us the ice caps are melting and the polar bears are going to drown, so we’ll have to pay more taxes to Al Gore and save the world. LOL

I’m here because this logo sticker do have on my laptop

  22. @kaleidoscopeon on November 13, 2024 at 12:49 pm

Thanks for saving me huge money. I was about to spend hundreds more just for that extra star thinking it will save me money.

  23. @DLFfitness1 on November 13, 2024 at 12:53 pm

New appliances tend to be more efficient regardless of the energy star rating. I just replaced a 17 year old refrigerator. The new one is smaller with no ice maker, because I don’t use ice. The new appliance by the same maker feels flimsy, but it will be interesting to see if it runs cheaper. My old one was still working, so I was able to wait for a good sale. I am also getting a rebate for recycling.

  24. @arcticarrowhvacr on November 13, 2024 at 12:54 pm

That’s right! There is no savings. Energy star = energy waisted. Absolutely crap. New washers dont wash either. Air conditioners aren’t cold enough as the vintage ones, everything is cheap and fake these days, and made in china…

  25. @mitchellkuharski5735 on November 13, 2024 at 12:55 pm

The federal Lanham Act allows civil lawsuits for false advertising: So you can sue the establish with the energy star product.

  26. @DabblelyDiddly on November 13, 2024 at 12:56 pm

retards.. a watts a watt.. and fridges dont use much power, its the defrost circuit that uses power. window air cons have always been the same. central air always costs more to run than a window ac or a few window units.

  27. @darkingstv8677 on November 13, 2024 at 12:58 pm

    Thank you!

  28. @Dcc357 on November 13, 2024 at 1:05 pm

The Energy Star rating never came across my mind when shopping for a fridge in the past month. Bought a Whirlpool WRS555SIHW and it didn’t have the rating. Not disappointed one bit. I want a big fridge that keeps things cold and looks good doing it. Don’t be energy conscious when it comes to appliances. Be conscious of how good the appliance is for you and the fam. The only efficient fridge is a fridge that’s never opened if you think about it!

  29. @michellelaclair on November 13, 2024 at 1:09 pm

Save money by keeping ur old appliances until they puke

  30. @Georgeevaappliance1 on November 13, 2024 at 1:09 pm

Not to mention the added repair cost More efficient = less reliable
