I plan to put a projector outside where our pool is. I want a screen on one wall of the lanai and a projector that we cast movies. Primarily played in evening or night. Any top suggestions? (Budget $1000 -$1500)

Great info! Looking for a recommendation! I’m in a band that has a 6 foot diameter scrim in the back that we want to put video onto. Room will be mostly dark. Projector will be truss mounted. Ideally we want a 12 to 14 foot distance throw. The projector we have now starts to be in focus at 17 feet away but we need to be closer. Trying to accomplish something like Pink Floyd on a small scale. Lag is not important. True color is not important. Most important is at least 6 feet high from 12 to 14 feet away. Thoughts?

really good tips as I am spoiled and will not buy any monitor under 120hz, that just seems to minimum standard requirement and 5MS maximum or less, aiming for a higher PCi3 of 95% or greater, 800 lumens or better

thank you very much for this review, please, what would you recommend for a play on stage so that that the actors can go in front of the screen, I looked for laser projector, but unfortunately you can not go in front of it, as I understand the laser projector has a protection and not allow it.We have a room in front of the stage about 80m2. Thanks

  25. @sloebone7399 on November 13, 2024 at 12:44 pm

Projector specs are completely full of s#!t. Those cheap ones are absolute garbage, don’t even bother. Get a name brand, they will still overstate their specs but they will at least be watchable. I’d go minimum $300 – $400 for 720P to 1080P. 4K is much more ($1000 – $1500 is a starting point).

What projecter would you recommend for watching tv

  28. @Mihalyofficial on November 13, 2024 at 12:46 pm

What about loudness? Most of these projectors, even the exp ones produce around 37db of noise. Redicilous. Interferes with sound from movie.

Excellent video. Working as a visual artist, can you recommend a projector for tracing a still image from a Pixel phone onto a canvas?

  34. @total-rando on November 13, 2024 at 12:50 pm

I feel like *does it fit in the actual room* is absolutely number one LOL. I managed to find a house with a theater room where there’s like six projectors of any kind and any budget to pick from. Even a projector budget of thirty thousand bucks can’t overcome physics. 😄

  35. @danielschneider3191 on November 13, 2024 at 12:52 pm

I appreciate you for the video. Very concise and well spoken. Will subscribe and share. Keep up the good work.

Can a projector reflect on my closed garage door and play video games on it while console is inside the house?

  37. @MainManCrypto on November 13, 2024 at 12:54 pm

    Hello Chris!

I’m in a dilemma and would like your expert opinion on this. So your help would be greatly appreciated. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I’m stuck between choosing an upscale projector for my purpose built home theatre room with an approximate projection size of 180-190 inches. It’s come down to two shortlised products in the same price catagory. Between the BENQ LK935 and EPSON LS12000B which would you recommend for a dark home theatre room. While the BENQ has higher Lumens and black ratio, it’s been listed on the official website as a conference room projector. While EPSON is marketing their product as a home theatre solution specific for content watching. What would you recommend since it’s quite an expensive investment and I don’t want to buy a product which won’t satisfy my requirements. Thanks a ton and always appreciate your quality content :))

Are you planning to review Optoma UHZ55??

  39. @ExcapePortal on November 13, 2024 at 12:57 pm

What home theatre projector do you recommend at the 700-1200 price range?

I knew nothing about Home Projectors and I’m looking into buying one, watching your video helped me a lot to understand the differences, Thank You Chris I appreciate it

  41. @Krashiya_ on November 13, 2024 at 12:58 pm

I’m here for the best there is. Forget about the budget

  42. @biogons14 on November 13, 2024 at 1:00 pm

In relation to projectors for business, the main limitations that you mention and that they have for being used in home theater, I have seen that the new EPSON EB-L570U greatly reduces them; Rec709 color coverage, 10 bits color processor, 4K pro enhancement, HDR10, dyn. contrast 2,500,000:1, V+H lens shift, large throw ratio, low noise, Laser Ph. The drawback that can be made is that, although the luminosity can be reduced from the original 5200 lum to 3500 lum, it is still too much for a dark HT. Since you cannot adjust the iris manually, I thought that using an ND filter could reduce the brightness considerably. We would have to try it and see how it performs in HT, since it costs half the price of the L12000 and is much smaller and also has a media player.

  43. @eliavedri7876 on November 13, 2024 at 1:01 pm

I recently upgraded my projector (Optoma HD28E) to a newer model OPTOMA 4K400STX, wow what a difference! Movies and games are much more fun! The speed which the projector responds in games is amazing! and I bought a 120" ALR screen with a gain of 0.8, (4000 lumens from 40" distance is too much)

  44. @stevenvelez8015 on November 13, 2024 at 1:01 pm

Hey chris majestic i need your help with getting a projector to replace my tv. I only use my phone to watch movies on streaming websites and sometimes i use net flix or watvh videos on youtube. I would also like to connect my ps4 but only for casual gaming. Can u give me recommendations. My budget is 700. My apt is dark so brightness is not important.

  45. @gufiaito69able on November 13, 2024 at 1:02 pm

The fact that in 2023 you still have the 5050 ub says a lot

  46. @Bull1the1Great on November 13, 2024 at 1:04 pm

We plan on using it outside in the yard at night . I think I would go with the battery one with netflix built in so I don’t have to haul the laptop. But , the router is way off and won’t catch a signal , shit 😢

  47. @maskydoo7871 on November 13, 2024 at 1:04 pm

This is extremely helpful. Thank you. I’ve been wanting to get a projector to use outdoors (at night, of course), but I wasn’t sure what to look for or what I should expect to pay.

  48. @边伯贤-i8r on November 13, 2024 at 1:04 pm

In addition, I hope there are other more cost-effective projectors that can make a comparison video, such as Sovboi, Hasatek, VIZONY, VOPLLS and other brands of projectors with similar pricesface-blue-smiling
