How far would you put the lowest category away from the screen? I have a dark basement room that I need the projector roughly 13ft away from the screen.

I have a question about Lamps v. LED v. Laser. The new problem I have is the heat produced from my Dell S560T makes my small Movie Room considerably warmer. My question is are LED and Laser projectors better at heat production?

Good video but you are being so loud …I feel like your trying to get your voice to reach the mic …bro move the mic closer and you won’t have to project so loudly

  25. @annekedebruyn7797 on November 13, 2024 at 1:00 pm

Interesting how consumer laser projectors have worse blacklevels.
IMAX switched to lasers because it had better blacklevels. I wonder if it’s caused by maybe being too bright?

Why is it that now every “YouTuber” has to speak the same way. Don’t get me wrong. Thanks for the free information and entertainment. But it’s not necessary for everyone to speak like @mrbeast to become relevant and influential.

can you review optima AZH430 economical projector

  28. @revtech2917 on November 13, 2024 at 1:07 pm

You forgot about 3-LCD projectors and DLP projectors. I know most of these are lamp based but they do have LED and laser versions. Both are still very important to this topic…

  29. @jamesford9750 on November 13, 2024 at 1:07 pm

Yeah but what do you do when your laser projector bulb finally reaches the end of its life???

  30. @firstlast2034 on November 13, 2024 at 1:07 pm

Not interested in movies etc, I want to transfer images on canvas and no one addresses this!

  31. @JohnP-imp on November 13, 2024 at 1:08 pm

LG is a sleeping giant in the video industry that kills it in TVs they have amazing picture quality glad they moved away from surround sounds as they were subpar but I’ve always loved❤ LG as a company.

  32. @IIGBII on November 13, 2024 at 1:08 pm

Some lamp type projectors are also "Ultra Short Throw(UST)" e.g.: "Optoma HD36UST Ultra Short Throw Projector 4000 Lumens Full Hd (Lamp)". "Ultra Short Throw(UST)" is not exclusive to Laser Projectors.

  33. @diegomelendez9918 on November 13, 2024 at 1:12 pm

Very helpful my friend but was going ask about eco friendliness ? Any side affects?

  34. @TallStarlite on November 13, 2024 at 1:13 pm

I bought a Optoma hd20 back in 2007 for $800. Today 2023 I have replaced the lamp 4 times @ $50. = $200. So I added total lamp hours to 24,000 hrs. So for me lamps are the way to go. Led & Laser projectors go out its done and you have to buy another new one. My Optoma still running strong 16 years !

  35. @ScottVigil on November 13, 2024 at 1:14 pm

Hello Sir. Thank you for your videos. They are all very informative. 🤓👍
But can i use my laser projector Nebula Capsule 3, on a Floor Rising UST ALR screen 80" ? 🤔 (brands: vividstorm, or phoenix)
Its for my attic space (it has no straigh up flat walls, only an inclined ceiling) 🥺
** this area its quite dark already, so I was thinking of making a small home cinema space 🧛🧙‍♂💁‍♂

  37. @CIRCLEOF4TRESS on November 13, 2024 at 1:16 pm

Amazing and concise analysis of the three types of projectors.

Hi Chris! I just had this video popup on my channel. I have a question for you.
Right now I have a Vamvo L6200 budget projector, and quite frequently the mirrors inside have to be cleaned because of dirt showing up on the screen. I am looking at the Epson 1080 to replace the budget projector I have. Do you know if I would have to clean the mirrors inside like I have to on the Vamvo? Thank you, Jim

    Useful! Many thanks!

  40. @genxd977 on November 13, 2024 at 1:18 pm

Thanks. good video, but it would also be good to see what the power consumption is for each of these types of projectors

  41. @victorosallo6061 on November 13, 2024 at 1:18 pm

I Enjoy your review. Is it wise for a church to use laser projector.? We have been using led TV 32 inches. But was thinking for something for the pulpit area? Our current church hall is not that dark.

  42. @englishmimics on November 13, 2024 at 1:19 pm

This is a super helpful video for newbies! It breaks down how to pick the right projector in a way that’s really easy to get.

  43. @rajkiranthomas3579 on November 13, 2024 at 1:19 pm

    Bring back CRT projectors 🙁

  44. @whiteknight7wayne493 on November 13, 2024 at 1:20 pm

Posting LED lifespans unfortunately doesnt allow for constant dimming over time. Thus i was disappointed with the LG PA77U WXGA 3D LED Projector with Smart TV and Built-In Digital TV Tuner. It got so dim that it was useless. And it was very expensive to purchase , and pay import taxes on. I hope those issues improved drastically for the sake of fellow consumers. Another friend bought an even more expensive one that developed a series of white dots in the pic that made it look like an outer space scene.

    Excellent. I’m learnding

  46. @GB.Bronco on November 13, 2024 at 1:23 pm

  47. @SJ-xg1uf on November 13, 2024 at 1:25 pm

If only they could find a way to make an LED projector that looked like a laser projector (ie. A projector that shoots upward instead of outward), that would be amazing.

  48. @bommareddybrijendrareddy9301 on November 13, 2024 at 1:29 pm

$40k!!? OMG! One of the projectors shown of Sony in Amazon costs almost as much as a luxury car!😂

  49. @ChristopherGoshgarian on November 13, 2024 at 1:29 pm

I have the same lamp projector in the the auditorium

  50. @chrisduncan3943 on November 13, 2024 at 1:29 pm

I’ve had several lamp based projectors going all the way back to the Infocus X1. Also, an Optoma DLP and 2 Epson LCDs which use metal halide bulbs. I recently got an Epson EF-12 laser projector and despite the low lumens rating (1000) it’s actually watchable during the day in my living room and super bright at night. It would probably be okay for my 126" screen in my dedicated dark theater even. The quality of the light seems slightly different to me with the laser projector. The LG HU70LA can be had for less than 1k now and I may replace my theater projector with it. Bulb projectors can be good bargains but I’d rather stop buying replacement bulbs and not have to be conscious about conserving my hours of usage.
