What else would you recommend for those starting up their smart homes? Like top 3 things that you currently use?

  2. @ARTICFR0ST on November 13, 2024 at 12:30 pm

is there blackout version of these?

  3. @killuax1502 on November 13, 2024 at 12:32 pm

Does it work. With Tuya Bridge

  4. @flixxfann on November 13, 2024 at 12:32 pm

They start at $179 or $198. But you have add ons. Motor, solar panel, shipping etc. I ordered for 2 sliding glass doors and I ended up paying $1,500

  5. @cbs2468 on November 13, 2024 at 12:33 pm

2 months in, still happy? Considering nearly 2 dozen of these.

  6. @Peviputguy90 on November 13, 2024 at 12:35 pm

Could you use android phone to control those shades or is It only iPhone

  7. @reginaldcortez8763 on November 13, 2024 at 12:35 pm

    I clean windows, dirty glass.

Hi, I am looking for an outside mount option since I don’t have a lot of wiggle room for an inside mount. The window trims are 1 3/4" in height. Do you know the height of the valance of shades is enough to cover the top trim ? I don’t like it exposed if outside mount is the only option I have.

Hi, would you know if these shades work with apple HomeKit?

  10. @carolineyan8550 on November 13, 2024 at 12:38 pm

  11. @ShervinShares on November 13, 2024 at 12:40 pm

ahh my windows are 106 inches wide I’d need two & there would be a gap between them

  12. @shijersey8336 on November 13, 2024 at 12:42 pm

thanks for redefining what is ‘ affordable.’

  13. @pistolaro2 on November 13, 2024 at 12:43 pm

With the SmartWings blinds, are they centered in the window (for inside mount) when installed or 1/2 off to one side due to motor placement in the cassette?

  14. @tenthdimension9836 on November 13, 2024 at 12:44 pm

    $175? no thanks

  15. @richardfynmann5452 on November 13, 2024 at 12:46 pm

    Nice

  19. @jesuslover1896 on November 13, 2024 at 12:59 pm

I actually like your dual layer trick, Ben. I just ordered a few, but I think I’ll make some updates for my master bedroom.

  20. @gemmrk on November 13, 2024 at 12:59 pm

How lazy have we humans become that we cannot even walk 3 feet from out bed to the window to close it. If there is an aconomic collapse, 95% of people will not survive

“Shades you can afford” Total comes out to 400

  22. @therolando608 on November 13, 2024 at 1:02 pm

Cool idea, but way too expensive

  23. @judedecamp2522 on November 13, 2024 at 1:03 pm

    These are not affordable
    These are base price
They charge you for every feature

The problems with all the shades is they never block out all the light from coming in.. i like it pitch black

  25. @adityahpatel on November 13, 2024 at 1:07 pm

it is not possible to install this in 5 mins

  26. @cbs2468 on November 13, 2024 at 1:07 pm

Installed 18 of these a little over a month ago (have 2 sunrooms which are basically all windows on 3 sides). I’m using smarthings to automate them based on sunrise/sunset, away modes, etc as well as using alexa as needed. Took a while to set them up in the smarthings b/c you can’t batch set heights but aside from that, loving them so far. Spent around 4k all in. Other smart shades would have set me back closer to 10k for the number i needed.

  27. @PrimalDashes on November 13, 2024 at 1:08 pm

I’ll never understand how anyone considers $150+ per blind "affordable"

  28. @kitecattestecke2303 on November 13, 2024 at 1:10 pm

Well… Are the tuya China cloud based or can i use them a little more dumb mode?

  29. @codypomeroy9040 on November 13, 2024 at 1:14 pm

Look nice but I’d stick to buying a paper shade for my room I’m staying on rent month to month cuz I don’t plan to stay there any longer next summer.

  30. @miami3863 on November 13, 2024 at 1:15 pm

Are they synchronized when going up and down?

  31. @jacksherman5696 on November 13, 2024 at 1:15 pm

I’m looking for some that works with Siri.

  32. @russo1945 on November 13, 2024 at 1:17 pm

Great idea but now i am deciding to spend either 100 for a window on faux shades sinc eeach room has 6 windows and these will run me expensive. For a whole house.

  33. @KylePutman on November 13, 2024 at 1:18 pm

brb… measuring all my windows. probably won’t order the blinds because I’ll forget to, but they look AWESOME

  34. @kylemendoza8860 on November 13, 2024 at 1:18 pm

Can I pair them with a third party Smart button?

  35. @glennmckinlay708 on November 13, 2024 at 1:19 pm

What’s your reasoning behind putting the layered blackout shade as an outside mount and not an inside window frame mount. Loved the video.

  36. @homoerotic85 on November 13, 2024 at 1:19 pm

How much did it cost you to do your entire house? Sounds expensive (and awesome)!

  37. @varsityeagle89 on November 13, 2024 at 1:19 pm

    Great vid budd, thank you

  38. @billfold1837 on November 13, 2024 at 1:20 pm

    What is the warranty

  39. @davidbrooks1118 on November 13, 2024 at 1:21 pm

Don’t be fooled when this says "affordable" I just checked and they are no more or less affordable than all the other over priced motorized blinds out there.

  40. @BirdmanPB on November 13, 2024 at 1:22 pm

"Not much more". Proceeds to show blinds at half the price

  41. @paulswiszcz584 on November 13, 2024 at 1:22 pm

Can’t remember if you mentioned warranty?

  42. @TerryT324 on November 13, 2024 at 1:25 pm
