  2. @MM-pj4bl on November 13, 2024 at 12:14 pm

BUT the whole point is not running a hard wire through walls etc.!

  3. @nima1832 on November 13, 2024 at 12:15 pm

The heck is the point of an extender if you have to hook it up…

  4. @earththunder2746 on November 13, 2024 at 12:16 pm

Im a bit confused, how did you change it to the way it suppose to be? DO I connect my extender to my router or how do I get to the website where you changed it?

  5. @cosmicheretic8129 on November 13, 2024 at 12:17 pm

The whole point of wifi extenders is to use them where it is hard to run a cable. If I could run a cable from the router I wouldn’t need one.

  6. @FalcoPelle on November 13, 2024 at 12:17 pm

My extender has no lan port, but works perfectly fine. I have modem router on the first floor, tp link extender on the second. I connect in 5ghz with the extender and I only lose 10mbps compared to first floor. If I connect in 2,4ghz, yes the signal is terrible and cutted below half.

  7. @ivoryjackson1059 on November 13, 2024 at 12:20 pm

I have the TP Link and thought it would improve the reception for my garage Ring Camera. The signal is still showing weak signal, one bar red. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Hi. Thanks loads. Just a quick question. I have a unsecured wifi distribution in my apartment, with low coverage in one of my rooms. I got a wifi extender which I was using at my previous premises (a secured line) which worked well. But I cannot connect this one cos the main wifi does not have a password and it does not show up on search. What should I do? Thanks in advance.

I’m using my neighbor’s wifi across the street. They gave me the password. In order to get a stronger signal which 1 should I use? Also does it have to be plugged in at their house or will it work in mine?

  16. @misslg1961 on November 13, 2024 at 12:29 pm

It shows my repeater is unsecured. How do I make it secure?

I just bought a WIFI extender and hooked it up. The directions say to only plug the cable into a computer. Anyway, after hooking it up, I don’t see any difference. What should I do?

  21. @agonquin on November 13, 2024 at 12:40 pm

I have a Edtiske Extender Model Number: LCX-ZJ1200-03 and it has two ports, one says Wan port and the other a Lan port , So my question is which port do I use on the extender to connecting to the router with network cable. Instruction doesn’t say :0( and what’s the difference between the two ports on the extender ¿? Thanks for any answers ChEeRs

  22. @joekool9601 on November 13, 2024 at 12:40 pm

Hi just installed an extender without cable. And I just watched your video. My question is … is the extender able to boost my signal higher than what my internet provider plan is.

  23. @vincentstohr2216 on November 13, 2024 at 12:40 pm

Repeater also work via lan cable

  24. @RodwhitecloudJones on November 13, 2024 at 12:43 pm

Video was not complete you did 3 tests not 4, where are you compared to the router, you comparison is inconclusive.

what if I have a mancave under the carport that is around less than 20 ft away from the exterior wall/window that my wifi router is in inside of the house. Inside the mancave which is upstairs under the carport, where my tv is setup I use my laptop to stream and with the door open it’s fine but with the door closed it wants to buffer if I leave the laptop in the usual corner of the entertainment center where there is more room. If I move it to the other side ( less room) but near the door, the signal is much better even when the door is closed. So if I got an extender or repeater where does it need to be plugged in? Is that in the home or in the mancave?

  27. @Jocelynie870 on November 13, 2024 at 12:46 pm

Does the extender get that speed all over the house?

  31. @jojomojito5635 on November 13, 2024 at 12:50 pm

    Thank you, very helpful

  32. @ishaantyagi on November 13, 2024 at 12:51 pm

Mesh setups like deco are so much simpler to use 🙂

  33. @Eatongee on November 13, 2024 at 12:54 pm

But if you’re gonna run a wire to the extender, you may as well just run a wire to the device.

  34. @bradleymuckert6424 on November 13, 2024 at 12:55 pm

I have an extender because I have 30 acre property and a 5 bedroom large I set brick house And I have to put the router in the middle of the house then the extender near a door so I can get reception I mean Wi-Fi over to my shed which is 50 m away can’t run cables cuz I’m sick cables everywhere that’s the reason I got to have wireless then I’ve got to unplug it the extender that is and put it up the other side of the house so I can watch TV up the other end I hate NBN I’D RATHER GO BACK TO THE OLD ADSL 2 where I could just use the phone line

  35. @ivoryjackson1059 on November 13, 2024 at 12:55 pm

It works for my Blue tooth garage door opener, but not ring camera.

  36. @amanymeriam8930 on November 13, 2024 at 12:55 pm

What to do if I forgot the password?

  37. @jenkaganyoga on November 13, 2024 at 12:58 pm

so i have an extender and it’s connected with the Lan cable and it’s getting such a low speed. What can I do?

I have a question: Imagine we’re traveling in a ProMaster van set up as an RV. Now imagine we have a Apple MacBook Air inside the van and we wish to connect to public WiFi (outside Home Depot for example), but we would like to use an ethernet cable to pick up that public WiFi signal instead of using the WiFi on our computer. We’d like to keep the WiFi signal outside the van but bring it into the van via ethernet cabling. Is there a device that can be attached to the top of our van (weatherproofed, of course) that would allow us to receive public WiFi without exposing us to that WiFi signal inside the van? The device would need an ethernet output port (WAN? or LAN?). I’m stumped. I don’t know how it works nor do I know if we would need a SIM card and an account with a major carrier, etc. I just don’t get how that all works. Can you help us? Or anyone else reading this…who knows the answer to this? I would really appreciate the help.

  41. @linkedaccounts8087 on November 13, 2024 at 1:08 pm

If I was close enough to my router/modem to hardwire the extender, why wouldn’t I just hardware the computer to the router/modem?

  42. @doreenwarren-sw2lg on November 13, 2024 at 1:08 pm

I have needed this info for awhile. Thank you so so much. I couldn’t find this info out anywhere till I found this info, so thank you. I just don’t know if I can connect my router so I have some work to do now. And I need to know what type of cable I need.

  43. @user-16aug2o04 on November 13, 2024 at 1:08 pm

so that I should connect the wifi router to extender with LAN cable connected, right?

  44. @Fenar_ on November 13, 2024 at 1:09 pm

Do you mean hardwiring the extender to the computer or the router?

  45. @lanoredixon170 on November 13, 2024 at 1:09 pm

you are talking too fast and you need to SHOW what you are talking about because your words aren’t registering.

  46. @yolandchanel7314 on November 13, 2024 at 1:11 pm

    Thanks brather

  47. @theodorehaskins3756 on November 13, 2024 at 1:11 pm

So what you didn’t explain is, why if you hardwire or wire the extender to the router, why does that improves its performance?

  48. @alvindurochermtl on November 13, 2024 at 1:11 pm

What then is the point of the extender then? If you need a signal amplifier this means the space is large. If you live in a large space who has a long enough LAN cable that connects the router and the extender which is supposedly places mid way between your router and the rest of your flat where your router isn’t.
