In India, everyone i know of having a smart speaker/display have an Amazon Echo device. Even I was looking for Echo dot 5 reviews on youtube and ended up here in this video. Thanks for the video btw.
Siri is near useless… unless you like to hear "I found the following results on the web" while you’re driving and just need to know if there is a fuel station close by. If I wanted to view web results I would have picked up my phone and used a web browser to search myself. Horrible. It’s even worse on something like the Apple Watch, where you’re obviously trying to HEAR the answer to something (either because you’re driving, walking, etc., and don’t or can’t whip out your phone or laptop to search yourself. Unless you ask Siri "What’s two plus two?" you’re going to get "I found the following results on the web" type answers. Pitiful.

Glazed over the most important thing, with HomeKit, your smart devices are controlled locally. It’s not Google or Amazons cloud reaching in to control a device. It’s your AppleTV or HomePod that actually controls the device.

So which assistant do YOU think will be the first to go, or last the longest? …I have my own theory but I want to hear yours.
I feel like the ecosystem you use makes a difference, I use Mac and iPhone etc, so I am replacing my Amazon Echo devices room by room with Homepod’s because I’ve become frustrated with the lag time on Amazon, being shouted at if I happened to be listening to music at a higher volume (as i like to do) and having to reconnect Apple Music every 60 days or so.
The only downside I’ve found so far is that Siri will often say that I should ask again on my iPhone or iPad so it can show me web results which is fair, but seeing as it knows who it’s speaking to it would be nice if it just said "I’ve sent the results to your nearest screen" and did so.

I ask google to turn off lights and it says back that it did turn off some lights and some are unavailable if they are already off. It’s so annoying especially in the night time
