Does it count no of steps?
How accurate is the calorie tracker? I am getting numbers higher than other devices but in line with numbers I get online
Excellent video, very well presented, product certainly not worth it for the price. Good honest review.
What would be a good competitor to the Whoop? Preferably without a subscription
The whoop needs gps I’d rather not bring my phone or have to wear another tracker for gps.
subscription for a device ?
what is this ? cable device ?
all of benefits out the window compared to a watch.
in 2 years subscription gets you most expensive watch with free app for life.
deal breaker.
Amazing review! Could you please comment on what it was like to sleep with it on and in that regard how it compared with the comfort of something like an Oura ring? Thank you!
I’ve been on a whoop trial for almost a month and I’ve had a similar experience with recovery and sleep performance. I was really surprised on a morning where I didn’t sleep very well to find that my recovery was at 93%. That just didn’t seem right. Still on the fence about whether this is worth paying for. Appreciate the review!
IS there a reason why you wouldn’t just tell us what support got you to do that increased your battery? Seems odd to not just say.
It must be joke or? A fucking heart rate tracker for 300€ per year 🤣😂
Dude a top class Garmin costs you 700€ or so and it comes with everything you can imagine.
Slowly we need a subscription for the air we breathe. Fuck this shit. Only an idiot would get a sub on this piece of junk.
0:17 soooo it’s a glorified old fashioned pedometer?😅
1:08 so… You’re basically locked in for the rest of ur life? Real greedy company ijs.
Thx for this video. Wanted to know more. An ad showed up on my Google feed. It was recommended as something I’d be interested in. I’m going to stick to my Fitbit Luxe. Nice small screen, lightweight for my small wrist and just overall an excellent tracker.
20:46 pay for this for 3 years would be the equivalent of buying SEVERAL new smart watches… I’m just saying. I don’t see a reason why this would be acceptable. It’s not even just about the money…but the justification of a price tag that doesn’t compare to it’s competition.
Definitely getting one of these since it’s HSA eligible!
Can you connect Garmin/ Strava apps to whoop app?
3 day battery life and priced at over $1000? never thought a company would out grift apple.🍏
Top video and well explained!! 👍👍👍
stick to Fitbit charge 5 or 6 . whoop sucks
Great review – I fully agree with everything you have said. For me, Whoop is worth it because of the gamification of wellness/fitness in which I can compete with my friends. I look forward to seeing my recovery every morning but I know it has its flaws (hardware, price). What wearable do you personally use and believe in now – Garmin? I am very open to trying new wearables. Thank you!
I’m fine with the subscription, but 3-4 days of battery life is kind of ridiculous when the Inspire 3 lasts a week
Can you do an updated review? Quantified scientist has said that whoop have massively upgraded there algorithms for HR?
The App is Not Working for ios 17.4 😢
Appreciate the bicep band section, I’ve been underwhelmed with the accuracy of my whoop on the wrist and was looking for reviews of the bicep band accuracy to see if it would help
defective item shipped and customer service / support does not respond – that should be enough feedback for a premium subscription service
Why this crap needs subscription.. Can some one explain?
It’s a big scam. Make sure you slept at least 7 hours a night. Log your sleep with a simple free sleep app. Drink minimum 8 glasses of water upto 16 glasses of water. Eat nutritious food when you are hungry and stop before you are full. You don’t need any gadgets and gimmicks.
Could you do a review of the latest whoop 4 firmware update? I love your content btw! ❤
Do you NEED the subscription program or is it a option?
your videos are like no other!! most of my fitness tech decisions are based on your reviews. thank you and thank you for being honest.
Thank for the wonderful in-depth review. This far exceeds what I’ve been researching for awhile. Love hearing the shortfalls too so it gives me some realistic expectations.
I am bummed about the fairly expensive subscription too. For everything, I might be okay with something creeping towards USD $12 -15/mth.
Maybe there could be tiered level of service with $2 for each component in the future.
All things considered there is one thing that’s moving me towards using this.
I prefer to not use a tracker on my wrist but rather have it higher on the forearm or even on my bicep.
Forearm cos it doesn’t get in the way when I’m working with my hands generally.
Bicep so I can have it hidden under my sleeve for whatever occasion.
I feel sensors need to stop trying to be a watch and just be what they’re meant to be, sensors.
subscribing to a device is just not cool, you should be able to purchase and have a solid bit of kit that offers a good deal of value, and sure gate some higher tier ‘pro’ stuff behind a paywall, but whoop will never take off to the point that other brands that don’t do this do.
Subscription for a $300+ product?
Hahahahahahahhahahaha
Pass.
Great review. I don’t prefer the subscription based model but I guess it works for sport professionals.
Completely lost me at subscription service. That is absolutely preposterous. When there’s so many other products on the market that don’t require that what kind of balls does this company have effectively making you rent the hardware?
It’s a big scam. The subscription is too expensive and the sleep app is not accurate Make sure you slept at least 7 hours a night. Log your sleep with a simple free sleep app. Drink minimum 8 glasses of water upto 16 glasses of water. Eat nutritious food when you are hungry and stop before you are full. And lift weights and do yoga everyday and cardio 3 times a week. You don’t need any gadgets and gimmicks.
I noticed Mathew Van Der Poel is now wearing a whoop 4 in all races and training .
Very useful information and well presented. Thanks
Wilson Gary Robinson Brenda Anderson Amy
I’m getting one for my 47th bday in a few weeks and can’t wait! I guess that’s when you know you’re getting old 😂
DO NOT GET THE WHOOP BAND, i tried the free trial 6 months ago and now that im looking into a non subscription watch, i see that i committed to a 12 month membership and ill end up having to pay $360 for one year using this shitty tracker. if you want to try it just do the annual and pay upfront bc you’ll save $120. its not worth it at all, an apple watch does everything and more for less money.
Not impressed
You might as well sell asteroid insurance. Just because Joe Rogan uses this doesn’t mean you can charge 200$ a year. Don’t give us the highs and lows of a product that has great features but is pulling money from the pockets of people that want to be better that can be better with out that meaningless information it gives. The cost of living is far enough let’s not rob the public more than we need to. If a pro athlete wants this that’s fair but let’s not sell this as something that the public needs to be healthy.
Super review bro, one ques – can we see this analysis on website on laptop ? or only on mobile app !
I just like the way it looks. I dont care about the fitness features.. i wish i could find a regular band look so slick
Phenomenal review, I very much appreciate your experimental approach and data analysis review. Subbed!
i wonder if the data helps or if it’s just better to listen to your body. i spend the last 2 days in bed but i did a ton of shit early in the week
Just which it had digital watch
Excellent review! My thoughts exactly. Garmin should come up with a better way to track HRV and display recovery as whoop does. I’m certainly not happy having to be subscribed to whoop for life to get this. So yes, I’m too patiently waiting for some garmin upgrades. They seemed they slowed down a bit.
Apple Watch is already doing all of these thing + it acts as a phone on wrist, notifications device and so much more, all without a subscription.
Love your videos your my go to man when I am looking at fitness tech thank you so much for this review it’s a no for me to the whoop
5:38 it’s based on a RPE scale which intended to associate effort with heart rate. So a 6 is a no effort since most people’s resting heart rate is 60. 21 is the max since for most people 210 heartbeat is an all out max rate. Hopefully this helps anyone in the future.
even a 5 dollars chinese smartwatch does the same for me plus 1 month battery backup and display along with it. it also have all these sensors.
